The Faculty of Fine Arts was founded under Presidential Decree 169/84, simultaneously establishing three Schools, more specifically:

The School of Visual and Applied Arts, which has been operating since the 1984-85 academic year. The School of Visual and Applied Arts is the oldest School in the Faculty of Fine Arts, AUTh. The school is housed in the following:

AUTh Campus in Thermi, 5thkm Charilaou Thermi, Captain Hapsas street, opposite the Lida-Maria Settlement. This facility houses the Printmaking Studio, the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Painting Studios, the Theoretical Courses lecture hall, the workshop for wood constructions, as well as the Faculty staff offices.
Thermi, 4th km Charilaou Thermi, S. Kazantzidi street, Thomas building. This building houses the Sculpture Studio, the 1st, 2nd and 4th Painting Studios, the library, the Photography Workshop, the Industrial Design Workshop, the computer room as well as the Digital Image Workshop.
1 Ikoniou street, Stavroupoli. This building houses work stations and exhibition rooms for the students’ theses, the room where the admission exams take place, a metal construction workshop as well as Faculty members offices.
AUTh Campus, in the center of Thessaloniki, Administration building, first floor, where the Registrar’s Office is located.
